{food} Art Cafe – El Nido, Palawan

When you visit El Nido, you want to enjoy all the best it has to offer. Aside from island hopping tours, the food offered here is another experience on its own. So if you are looking for must-try restaurants here, Artcafe is on that list! They are ranked #4 in TripAdvisor’s Restaurants in El Nido.

Artcafe was established in 1995 by the couple, Judith from Switzerland and Tani, a Filipino who was born and raised in El Nido. The place started as a boutique which also offers boat tours. Later in 2000 they opened its doors originally as a coffee shop only. In 2008, they moved to this new building which they designed and built.

No shoes and slippers allowed. You need to leave it on the stairs upon entering. This makes the place all homey. I love restaurants like this! :)

Music has always been a big part of Artcafe. It is a good venue for local musicians to perform. Their stage is welcome to everyone, including their guest! :)

The ambience here is really nice. A perfect place to just chill after a day of touring the islands. You will see a lot of foreign tourist here just relaxing by the veranda overlooking the beautiful beach of El Nido.

Artcafe has its own organic farm. They are growing fruit trees, salads, herbs and many of their vegetables. The coffee they brew is grown beans from Batangas, Philippines.

We ordered Artcafe Pizza (P280), Chocolate Crepes with Banana (P125), Cappuccino (P85) and Calamansi Juice (P60).

The pizza and crepes all tastes’ good! I would love to come back and try the other foods on their menu. :)
